Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry, or aesthetic dentistry, is concerned with the appearance of teeth and smile-enhancing treatments and trends. Common procedures include bleaching, bonding, crowns, veneers, reshaping and contouring. Dr. Kross and his team of experts in this area, can help you with any problem you wish to be addressed.

  • Teeth Whitening – Teeth whitening procedures effectively restore smiles that have become stained, dull, or discolored. Our team uses the safest and most effective teeth whitening methods to ensure you smile on.
  • Porcelain Veneers – Teeth that are badly stained, oddly shaped, or unevenly spaced benefit from porcelain veneers.
  • Cosmetic Bonding – Bonding is the simple application of a tooth-colored composite resin to repair a decayed, chipped, fractured, or discolored tooth.
  • Full Ceramic Crowns – A dental crown is a lab-made enamel that is placed over a tooth, helping to restore its shape, size, strength, or improve its appearance.
Preventative Dentistry

Preventative Dentistry involves routine cleanings to ensure teeth are strong and healthy. This helps avoid cavities, gum disease, enamel loss, gingivitis, and periodontitis.

  • Cleanings – Regular dental cleanings and exams (usually every six months) allow dentists to diagnose and address problems immediately. Cleanings include tooth scaling, tooth polishing, stain, plaque, and tartar removal, flossing, and more.
  • Examinations – Examinations are included in regular cleanings. Dr. Kross and his team evaluate gum tissue, examine and screen for oral cancer, review biting, chewing, and swallowing patterns, and perform x-rays to detect tooth decay.
  • Sealants – Dental sealants are thin, plastic coatings used to prevent tooth decay. They are commonly used on our back teeth (premolars and molars) to fill in narrow grooves that may not be cleaned adequately by brushing.
  • Emergency – Emergency dentistry is critical when you have been in an accident or have experienced injury to your teeth, mouth, or jaw. Our team addresses oral injuries immediately to prevent more extensive, costly restorative dental treatments.
Restorative Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry helps restore lost or damaged teeth due to dental disease or injury. These services ensure normal speech, swallowing, and chewing can be restored.

  • Fillings – Fillings are used to repair decayed, cracked, or broken teeth. Dr. Kross removes the damaged decay from the tooth, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a tooth colored resin.
  • Dental Implants – Dental Implants are today’s best option to replace a lost tooth. After restoration, a dental implant looks and feels just like a real tooth, without damaging adjacent teeth, like a bridge. They can also be used to stabilize and support a full or partial denture.
  • Root Canal Therapy – Root canals can save teeth that are badly decayed and/or have become infected. Dr. Kross ensures these treatments are pain-free and comfortable, contrary to a root canal’s reputation.
  • Extractions – A tooth may need to be extracted if you have severe decay, advanced periodontal disease, an infection or abscess, impacted, or fractured teeth. Dr. Kross uses every measure available to prevent tooth loss, but will work with you if a tooth extraction becomes necessary.
  • Jaw Pain – Joint pain and related problems may be caused by misalignment of teeth, oral trauma, or excess muscle tension. Our team will diagnose and treat jaw pain to ensure serious issues do not result.
Periodontal Therapy

Periodontal Therapy involves the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease including gingivitis and periodontitis.
